Hydraulic oil filter element is used in hydraulic systems to filter out solid particles and gel like substances in the working medium. It can effectively control pollution and protect the normal operation of mechanical equipment. It is an indispensable part of the conveying medium pipeline series.
Hydraulic oil filter element is mainly made of fiberglass filter paper, synthetic fiber filter paper, wood pulp filter paper, stainless steel woven mesh, sintered mesh and other filter materials, as well as single-layer or multi-layer metal mesh. The number of layers and mesh size of the mesh used in specific applications depend on different usage conditions and purposes.
Hydraulic oil filter cartridges are widely used in fields such as steel, electricity, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, papermaking, chemical engineering, machine tools and engineering machinery, and construction machinery.

Correct usage method of hydraulic oil filter element
First, drain the existing hydraulic oil from the box, check the hydraulic oil filter element for iron, copper, or other impurities, and after troubleshooting, clean the system.
Distinguish the hydraulic oil grade. Mixing hydraulic oil of different grades and brands can cause the hydraulic oil filter element to react and deteriorate, producing flocculent substances.
Before refueling, the hydraulic oil filter must be installed, and the pipe covered by the hydraulic oil filter directly leads to the main pump.
Do not let the oil in the tank come into direct contact with the air. After refueling, be sure to exhaust the air from the main pump. The method of exhaust is to directly loosen the pipe joint at the top of the main pump and fill it up directly.
Regularly conduct oil testing. Hydraulic filter cartridges are consumables and need to be replaced immediately if they become clogged; Pay attention to flushing the system fuel tank and pipelines clean, and use a filter equipped refueling device when refueling.

Method for replacing hydraulic oil filter element
● Close the inlet ball valve and open the upper cover
● Unscrew the drain plug and drain the dirty oil completely
Loosen the fastening nut on the upper end of the filter element, and the operator should wear oil resistant gloves to grip the filter element tightly. Then, remove the old filter element vertically upwards
Replace the filter element with a new one, pad the upper sealing ring, and tighten the nut
Close the drain valve, cover the upper end cap, and secure the fastening bolts
Tighten the drain plug, cover the upper end cap, and tighten the fastening bolts

Pollution level of hydraulic oil
The main reason for the failure of hydraulic oil filter element is the high invasion rate of pollution, which increases the burden on the filter element and shortens its service life. It is necessary to strictly limit the pathways that will enter the hydraulic system environment for pollution.

It is very important to ensure that the hydraulic system operates at the target cleanliness level, and to avoid component wear and prolong system life caused by system contamination as much as possible.
