Alternative B Type Cellulose filter inserts
The CJC alternative cellulose filter element is a high-efficiency depth-type filtration solution designed to fully replace original CJC filter inserts used in fine filtration systems such as the HDU series. The filter media is made of moulded cellulose using high-purity wood pulp imported from North America, ensuring low impurity content, excellent fiber structure, and stable filtration performance.
The B Filter Inserts strike the best balance between fine filtration efficiency and high dirt holding capacity, resulting in lowest cost for removing one kilo of contamination from oil. The B Filter Inserts remove all four contamination types in the same process: particles, water, acidity, and varnish.
Over the past years, our alternative B Filter Inserts have been used throughout various industries on many types of applications. These Filter Inserts are used in Original HDU series Fine Filters.
CONTAMINATION CAPACITIES
Based on field experience we have observed that the total Dirt Holding Capacity (DHC) is dependent on shape and density of particles and other variables within an oil system.
When saturated, the total weight of accumulated contamination depends on the application, the combination of contaminants, as well as the density of the captured contamination.

FILTRATION TECHNOLOGIES
► Oil filtration degree
For offline oil filtration, the dirt holding capacity is paramount because the offline process will have time to remove contaminants, unlike in-line filtration. Our focus is on removing the smallest and most harmful particles.
► Oxidation and oil degradation products
The cellulose material retains oxidation by-products, resins, sludge, and varnish. The huge surface area of the filter media removes con-tamination through absorption and adsorption. By effectively re-moving contaminants we can slow down the rate of oil degradation.
► Water removal
Filter Inserts will typically be able to keep the water in the oil below saturation point (mineral/synthetic oils). All three stages of water (dissolved, emulsions and free) will be absorbed by the cellulose fibres.
► Acidity stabilisation
Acidity is a natural part of the oil degradation process and will be retained by the Filter Insert using the absorption technology.
