General introduction
The oil filter is a critical component within a compressor, protecting the handpiece and extending the service life of the lubricating oil and the oil-gas separator. The air drawn into the compressor contains a large amount of solid particles. Typically, most solid particles with a diameter of less than 10 μm cannot be filtered out by the air filter and enter the compressor system. After the air is compressed, its volume decreases, and the concentration of solid particles increases accordingly. Lubricating oil can produce partially carbonized solid particles when operating at high temperatures. If these large particles circulate back into the handpiece with the lubricating oil, they can cause wear on the handpiece bearings.
Therefore, these large particles must be filtered out before the lubricating oil re-enters the handpiece. The oil filters designed by our company for air compressors can generally filter out solid particles as small as 25 μm. Upon request, we can customize higher-precision oil filters based on customer needs.

A guide of changing oil filters
The oil filter should be replaced after the first 500 hours of operation of a new machine. It is recommended to replace the oil filter every 1500-2000 hours. The replacement interval should be shortened when used in harsh environments.
After the oil filter is uninstalled, the mounting base must be cleaned to avoid deformation and tearing of the new gasket due to dust and gasket residue.
Before installation, the gasket of clean oil lubricator can be used, but do not lubricate with grease, which will cause leakage if incompatible with gasket.
Strictly use the oil filter within the time limit, otherwise the filter will be seriously blocked, the pressure difference exceeds the set limit of the bypass valve, the bypass valve will open automatically and a large amount of dirty oil will directly enter the air end, causing serious consequences.
