Product Overview
The resin-bonded filter cartridge features a unique multilayer filtration structure that ensures strong contaminant retention and long service life. It is an equivalent or alternative filter for 3M Cuno Micro-Klean RB Series cartridges. The resin-bonded filter cartridge utilize unique fibers, combined with binders, curing agents, and stabilizers, and are formed through high-temperature sintering. This process creates a gradually tightening structure with uniform micropore size and high porosity, allowing larger particles to be captured on the surface of the filter element, while smaller particles are captured in deeper layers, thereby increasing retention capacity and service life.
During petrochemical refining, it provides excellent oil and viscosity resistance, preventing clogging and extending service life while reducing consumption. Manufactured under computer-controlled production and strict quality management, it guarantees consistent filtration precision and reliable performance that meet customer requirements.

Material Characteristics
Phenolic resin is a yellow, transparent, amorphous solid, sometimes reddish due to trace free phenol.
It is alcohol-soluble, water-insoluble, and stable in weak acid or alkali solutions.
Produced from phenol and formaldehyde polymerization, it can be thermosetting or thermoplastic depending on the catalyst used.
Phenolic resin offers excellent acid resistance, mechanical strength, and heat resistance, widely applied in anti-corrosion engineering, adhesives, flame-retardant materials, and grinding wheels.
Therefore, resin-bonded filter cartridges inherit these strong physical and chemical properties.
Chemical Resistance
Cross-linked phenolic resin resists decomposition by almost all chemicals such as gasoline, oil, alcohol, glycol, fats, and hydrocarbons.
Its chemical stability makes it suitable for kitchenware, filtration media (phenolic fiber), drinking-water purifiers, and food-grade containers, complying with national standards (GB05009.069-2003).
Key Features
1. Grooved construction enlarges filtration area while minimizing debris and contamination.
2. Long phenolic fibers prevent damage or fiber migration compared to short-fiber competitors.
3. Enhanced resin bonding allows filtration of viscous fluids up to 15,000 SSU (≈ 3200 cSt).
4. Silicone-resin structure ensures clean operation with zero media shedding.
5. Flow capacity: 5 GPM (≈ 2.3 T/h) per 10-inch cartridge.
6. Dual-layer composite design maximizes particle removal and extends life in viscous fluid filtration.
Applications
Resin-bonded filter cartridges are widely used in:
• Automotive paints, electrophoretic coatings, and PU coatings
• Printing and packaging inks: offset, gravure, UV-curing, conductive, and ceramic inks
• Industrial coatings: varnish, enamel, can coatings, roll coatings
• Petrochemical and chemical processes
• Machinery & manufacturing: cutting fluids, grinding liquids, washing solutions
• Wastewater and solvent recovery systems
• Film and photo-processing fluids, magnetic strip and card developers
The brown phenolic resin filter version combines special fibers and resin with enhanced chemical resistance.
It offers broad chemical compatibility and is ideal for high-temperature, high-viscosity, and high-strength liquid filtration.
